Simplicity of Chance: Japanese Tea Ceramics

13/10/2013

The TAASA Ceramics Study Group Sydney hosted this half day workshop to explore ceramics associated with the tea culture in Japan.

Event information: http://www.cofa.unsw.edu.au/events/archive/951

There were 3 guest speakers: Paul Davis, Ann Macarthur and John Freeland.

Paul was actually my ceramics teacher at COFA. He lived in Japan for quite some time and actually developed his own clay, the Kagero.

I was really keen to go to this event as it is a rare chance to hear from the experts in the field. Plus I really miss going to class - I did so enjoy studying at COFA.
