Okay, so a while back I mentioned that I applied for this project called Syntropy: Ceramic and Songket Textile Design Studio Sarawak.
And... I got in!!! I'm so excited! Just booked and paid for the flight, Sydney to Kuala Lumpur and then Kuala Lumpur to Kuching. Have a few travel companions from other people doing the studio project, so at least I won't be too lost. I'm so looking forward to this, I've never done anything like it. I wonder if I can still speak/understand Bahasa Melayu... I'll be doing heaps of travelling in the next few months, for uni, for family and for work. I'm travelling so much, I will actually miss out my own exhibition opening at Gaffa Gallery in July. Sucks... but well, what can I do, work is priority. I'm going to be at Cairns that week for a conference. On the ceramic side of things... I'm presenting my final project next Tuesday so if you're at the main campus, come by to the COFA rooms above Matthews Building at around 6pm to see some fantastic stuff from the graduating Master of Design students of 2012.

I LOVE making a series of things... I love seeing repetition, a uniformed vision of an array of objects.
So here's an image I took today. And no, they're not cookies. |
