Not the usual bootcamp stuff though... while I'm looking for a new job, I plan to work on my ceramics. So instead of catching the train and bus to work, I'll be catching the train and bus to the ceramics studio - starting tomorrow! (I planned to start today on a Monday, but I think I need to really sort out my home studio first and really figure out what I want to work on.)
My last day at work was a weird day considering the circumstances. But I am so glad that I have my ceramics to 'fall on' so to speak. A couple of images below of the latest works... made them in my wheel throwing class.

I've recently resigned from my work. Unfortunately, it's not to expand on my ceramics work. So... I'm soon to be jobless and funny enough, I can't seem to get my head to start working on my ceramics. This whole thing has been a really an ordeal and I feel incapacitated to get the creative juices going.
But I think the universe is giving me a nudge to start on my ceramics work. For an upcoming exhibition, I'm planning to make something that is quite spiritual, all about transcendence. I went to a trance party on the weekend, and on the stage, there were bird wings on the screen. Then these two girls wearing angel wings stood in front of me. And in church yesterday, they were reading the part from the Bible where my inspiration comes from. Nudge, nudge, nudge! (alright, fine, I'll get cracking) One of the side tables are almost done, major cracks on the bottom and top. I was kind of disappointed in it. I think I need to go back to my root: my weird white vases with the ribboning. Pictures below are the stuff I've made recently. First is the side table stacked (missing top bit). Middle is the pot I made in wheel throwing class and last are some bowls I made. My teacher made the milk jug. I'm just not feeling it... *sad* |
